Please join with PFLAG Manistee as we march in the Manistee Independence Day Parade on Sat., July 3 at 10AM.

Since this is our first public event as PFLAG Manistee it is a wonderful opportunity to get the word out about our PFLAG chapter and the message that we want to send about supporting our LGBT sons and daughters, their parents, families, and friends.

We will have a professionally produced banner to carry. David Wild has volunteered to drive his pink 1957 Lincoln as part of our entry. Dave also has a trailer which can be pulled by the car and made into a "float." If we are to have a float, we will need people to create it and to work on it.

PFLAG Manistee will hold the July 2010 general meeting at the home of Susan and John Mencarelli who have graciously invited us to picnic in their yard and enjoy a summer celebration. Please bring a lawn chair and a dish to pass and join us as we celebrate our 11th month anniversary as a PFLAG group. Brats, hotdogs, ice tea, lemonade, and table service will be provided.

See you on Sunday, July 18 at the Mencarelli's for food, fun, and friendship!

This is a family picnic so the business part will be kept very short and children of all ages are welcome. If it rains, we will still meet inside the house or in the garage.
